Evelyn Rose Aucoin was born on May 13, 1922 in Thompson CT to French Canadian parents Arthur and Rose (Choiniere) Aucoin and was the second of nine children. Her parents moved the family to Canada for a brief spell, and then settled in Woonsocket, RI where her father worked in the mills.
Wilfred was born in Rhode Island in 1881 to Edmond and Rosilda Girouard who had come to Woonsocket from St. Denis, Canada. Wilfred swept floors at the old Clinton Mill by age 14. As an adult he worked as a spinner and a picker operator at the Social Mill.
Wilfred married Marie Arlena Arcand on August 24, 1909 in the St. Famille Church in Woonsocket. They had three children and lived all their married life between Cumberland and Elm Streets.
Bob worked diligently at Woonsocket Rubber manufacturing rubber soles for the assembly line to which he was assigned. Bob and others on his line functioned on "piece work". Bob left the mill industry in 1972. He and his wife Estelle purchased and operated a convenience store called Terry's Market on North Main Street in Woonsocket. Bob finished his working years as a carpenter at Bryant University.
Estelle temporarily left the job market in the early 1960's to raise her family. In 1972, Estelle and her husband Bob purchased and operated Terry's Market on North Main Street in Woonsocket. Estelle finished her working years in the bakery department at the Stop & Shop at Park Square.
Jean first owned and operated a machine shop, rebuilding old textile machinery. The Belmont Worsted Mill of which he was the owner, was incorporated. On Feb. 18, 1901 he married Albertine Collette at St. Anne's Church by the Rt.Rev. Msgr. J. A. Laliberte. Jean was involved in the Woonsocket Housing Authority. He died Aug. 1949 at his summer home after a short illness at 69 years of age.
Willie was married to Maria (Marcroft) Todd. They had 4 sons and 5 daughters. Willie died Sept. 25,1945 at the age of 63.
