My great grandfather, John worked in the Alice mill as did his son, my grandfather, John Sr. John Sr. played basketball for the Alice mill. John Jr. (John Joseph) started working at US Rubber in the 1940's and worked there for 20 years. He was a Union President and represented the best paid workers in Woonsocket at US Rubber.
Beatrice graduated from St. Louis School in 1934 at age 16. She did not go on to High School instead she went to work at the Falls Yarn Mills in order to help support her parents who lived in a tenement on Diamond hill Road.
Joseph was a WWII veteran (Medic). He was elected President of the Credit Union of Northern RI Joint Board, CIO Textile Workers Union of America (TWUA) in 1954. He was also co-founder of Park Square Credit Union in Woonsocket.
