Aline's parents were born and married in Canada. They moved to the US in 1900. Her father was a carpenter and then a truck driver in Woonsocket. Her mother was a housekeeper and seamstress. Aline at first attended St. Ann's school but due to a hearing problem she transferred to the RI School for the Deaf. She was due to graduate and had plans to go on to college but after her mother's death it was decided she should move back home to work and help take care of her 12 siblings. She worked at a total of 10 mills including Lafayette Worsted, French Worsted, Rochambeau and the Rubber Shop. She also worked in Hospice at St. Antoine's for 12 years, first as a housekeeper and then as a seamstress. She and her husband had 2 sons.
