Gerald was born on March 2, 1918, he was the son of Marie Louise and Armand Peloquin of Gaulin Avenue. He was the eldest of eight children, five boys and three girls.
Jerry, as he was called, started as a wool sorter and rapidly worked his way up to supervisor. Jerry was highly regarded by the Morel family who owned the Star Carbonizing Mill.
Gerald was a WWII vet who transported prisoners of war between the east coast and Texas.
Jerry was a musician proficient on the saxophone and clarinet. He played for several bands including a band which played at the Blackstone Hotel for seven years. He was a member of the the Amvets Military Band, a band that performed concerts in the city parks and marched in local parades for thirty years. He was also the leader of "The Mysties" a band that played at showers, wedding and dances. He died too young at the age of only 49.
