The Guerin Mill Complex, founded by Belgian textile manufacturers Joseph & Theophile Guerin, consisted of three mills: the Montrose Worsted (established in 1902), the Alsace Worsted (established in 1904) and The Rosemont Dyeing Company (established in 1906).

The President of the Montrose Worsted was Theophile, son of Joseph, who was President of Alsace Worsted. John G. Masson served as President of Rosemont Dyeing Company.

Montrose produced menswear woolens and worsted goods and employed nearly 300 people. Alsace Worsted produced worsted and merino yarns and employed over 300 people. The Rosemont produced custom yarn and piece dyeing, as well as print goods. The size of their operation is unknown.

In 1922, there was a consolidation of the Guerin properties in the Woonsocket area. The Guerin Spinning Company, another firm controlled by the Guerin-Pothier interests, merged with the Montrose Worsted Company, the Alsace Worsted Company, the Philmont Worsted Company, as well as Bradford Yarns and the River Spinning Company. The value of the newly formed enterprise was estimated at $6 million.
